The Oakbrook Nature Trail opened in July 2014, the Oakbrook Nature Trail is located just off Springview Lane near Summerville Medical Center. This winding trail covers a twelve-acre tract of land that has been designated by the US Army Corps of Engineers as a conservation area. The 3,600 feet long gravel trail gives way to wooden boardwalks to span three delineated wetland areas. Keep your eyes peeled, as this area is home to a variety of Lowcountry wildlife, including whitetail deer, turkeys, and a bevy of our reptilian friends.

Rosebrock Park 

A pet-friendly park that features a playground, restroom, covered pavillion with picnic tables and 1.5 miles of trails through 70 acres of forest and wetlands to the banks of the Ashely River.  There are 11 different interpretative Panels with QR codes to share the history of the area with benches along the banks of the Ashely Scenic River

The Sawmill Branch Trail starts at East Richardson Avenue and ends near the Summerville YMCA facility in Oakbrook, though there are plans to extend the trail on both ends.

Enjoy 13.1 miles that begins in the center of  town and takes you on to our recreational running path and through some of our lovely neighborhoods ending back in the center of town. While running, you will enjoy live entertainment as well as lively water stations. Hopefully those will be memorable as you will be encouraged to vote for your favorite entertainment and most spirited aid station. Summerville has been recognized as the birthplace of Sweet Tea. With its uniquely small town feel and southern hospitality, Summerville has a lot to offer.

This race will benefit a Summerville Fire and Police benevolent fund and Dorchester EMS. Please join us for this annual event held in the Fall.
